Reawakening

Reawakening

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Inspired by sweet Divya for dazzling me with her butterfly kisses.

"
If you listen
          attentively,
you can hear
          flowers blossom
the lovely sounds
            of rebirth in spring zephyrs
scent of wildflowers
          in the cool night's air
inhale the new horizons
           of renewal
revive your senses,
                 indulge in sensation
         flutterby's will tickle your fancy
                    and ignite your glow
dawdle down the path
                 of lazy hazy lovely views
 rejoice in the essence
                  of life's wonderment
Stop and pick a posy,
watch it grow
count the gift of each petal
gather the kindness of it's melody,
pass it along
               with your innermost song

So tender and warm, like the spring day that you are Frieda. As I read your poems, I do count the gift of each petal. They are like beautiful blooms to me, their fragrance enchants me, their beauty lures me and their message grow forever with me. Frieda, you are a bloom and I am happy to count the gift of each and every petal you shed for us.

Sorry, still laughing from your last remark...thanks Marie!
This piece reminded me that I haven't done enough listening these days...another example of that ability of yours to alternate angst and serenity with seeming effortlessness...reading this was looking like a snapshot of Spring amid the backdrop of today's Winter...a very therapeutic piece ;)

hahaha luckily i snapped out it of just in time ;)
my innermost song is humming spring...

but i am listening to what's outside right now...and i am hearing a gentle tapping of snowflakes landing on the ground...3 days straight now...oddly spring is fighting them off, because there is no accumulation...and right now the harder the fall, the more they melt.

beautiful poem...as i watch what is happening outside, i will surely keep your poem inside...with hope.

Thanks so much Siren.
I am searching for words! No wait I can't think of any!
This poetry is almost hypnotic in it's call to worship the bountiful beauty and allure of nature.
"If you listen
attentively,
you can hear
flowers blossom" - Such tuning...I lost myself in that lush wild garden.

"Stop and pick a posy,
watch it grow
count the gift of each petal" - Awesome, in a word.

I can picture the butterflies forming a canopy now..all the way from you to me!
That girl is very pretty too :)

If I had known you would write so stunningly, I would have sent those butterfly kisses sooner!

Thank you dear, wonderful friend! You moved me to tears today!

Hugs!
