Compromised Crucifixes

Compromised Crucifixes

A Poem by Frieda P

How to let go...
has always been the achilles heel
in matters of the heart
as memories seep from a closed chapter
that perfect facade taken down
 by implosions of the mystery
familiarity can destroy,
 make or break the foundations

Dwelling in the comfort
 of sanctimonious dawdle
arrests the senses
when fallacious promises give way,
compromised crosses
 prove malicious and destructive
writing your eternity's entry in blood
has naught to do with love

Eternities entry in blood.
Has naught to do with love

I'm going out on a limb here.....
Jesus shed his blood by grace to give us everlasting life. All sinners are forgiven if they just ask. Our names are already written in heaven. It has all to do with the love of our Heavenly Father.

you are welcome!
Weird, how do you know these things...and this time I am not being funny.

As usual, this work is amazing, which I know I will find everytime I see your name appear in my RR box, but...how the hell do you know these things. I am sorry, but I can no longer consider it random. You work seems to touch on something that is sitting in my mind, as if my thoughts, worries, and questions somehow you know. Honestly Frieda, I do joke around a lot but I also consider myself someone who looks beyond. It seems when I have a concern, you address it in one of the next few pieces you write. It is definitely weird feeling but exciting at the same time. I may test my theory again soon.

Once more, very beautiful, deep and spot on.
