Imagistic Embrace

Imagistic Embrace

A Poem by Frieda P

A metaphorical pause deep within
a space crowded of forbidden fruits
somewhat like your lips before we touched
a bit of shine, and a lick of lust-er
you polished my fantasy quite risque
revelations when the phantom has spoken
no illustrative embraces to shake
mere chimera of my mind's play
unaware, you brazenly materialized
tango'd til dawning of brazen daylight
releasing the angels of confession
around the fire of inconsistent guilt
couldn't live up to the luminous parable
sublime written lines, twisted of darkly fate

You know me - I find something and just settle on it....savoring it. Rolling it around - a dog with a ball - nomming it till its slobbery....And today its those lines above - I just like 'em. I do.

Dreams of an individual that go beyond. Spectacular writing that picks up the reader and carries them along trying to catch the words as they flow by them and place them in their own experience.

Much appreciate your sentiments here Ken, thanks so much.
the awe-inspiring power of imagination and the roads it can lead you down. a cleverly naughty way of describing things where some would minimalize such endeavors you took a more heavy-handed approach. well done frieda

Your welcome
and i remember being a young catholic...we had to do confession just for the thoughts of sex, even if we only had it in our minds...:)

Ha yes sir, do you remember making up stuff so it'd sound good too? :-)
look that up in your funk and wagnalls'....

i imagined confession after the passion..."bless me father for i have sinned, and i plan on sinning again.

"you polished my fantasy quite risque" love that line.

was looking at your mozart line on your profile page...about the bubble gum sounding?

so...was "yummy yummy yummy" really a Mozart driven piece?

now that i am back here...barbara and i have to have "illustrative embraces in our minds"

that's where it is now...

damn...

i feel this poem in many ways.

Sorry my mind is in disarray right now...hard to absorb this one. Lots of imagery here...but beautiful and poignant as I've come to expect from your pen. xo

Sorry to hear Red, chin up dear friend. x
What trouble imagining can cause; dreaming of things lust-er-ed with forbidden fruits dripping thoughts til all one wants is reality and - that other, the one who polished your fantasy. And, then what? Reality presents itself and it's swimming in hot water time for the dreamer, the one who's urged the being and the action closer, only to find that the thought was greater than the action. And yes, '.. sublime written lines, twisted of darkly fate.' Perhaps?

Catholic guilt is a worst fate than death Emma, it keeps on giving. Thanks my friend.
