Hurricane Glass

Hurricane Glass

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~the winds of truth

"
A steamroller
          with a heart of glass
          stormed in as a hurricane
                destroying
                        everything in your path
            crunching grey matter
cutting like shards of rock crystal
no time to run for cover
shot through, no chance for redemption
                   the tsunami of your desecration
was no match for a mere human soul

                    there's
                                hardly comfort
                                  in the winds of truth

This is really good, it really packs a punch and the imagery you create is vivid.

" stormed in as a hurricane
destroying
everything in your path"

It's sad how a storm can ruin so many people lives and take so many people away from us. This was a great write, I love how you write. You always write on a topic that is real and happening nowadays.

Great job. And, it makes sense! Ha.

Both just as damaging I'd say, thanks Rita!
The thing about having a tender heart is it can easily be damaged.

Another gem of a poem.

The hurricane metaphor is powerfully played out through this piece and the music sets an eerie tone. If I may suggest, that dangling comma after "there's" is a bit out of place.. I think it needs a new home *smiles* Beautiful work!
