~Butterfly in Heaven

~Butterfly in Heaven

A Poem by Frieda P
"

A collaboration of music & poetry, piano composition by Jack, for which I will be eternally grateful. Thank you my dear friend with my whole entire heart. From me & Lee....♥♥

"

I am but one lone butterfly
set forth on the sea of my accord
took flight on a moonbeams prayer
salt had stung my fragile wings

sunlight had parched my soul

I wander a'flutter stormy nights
   searching for the reasons       why
in surrender's darkness there is light
      whilst angels whisper my name,
all the while I'm still here & there

Gorgeous description Frieda, the imagery is of a strong metaphor steeped in personal essence. This is a beautiful piano piece as well Jack, you are a man of many talents. I can see it being played at the beginning or end of a film, or sampled to create some more contemporary music styles. Well done the both of you.

The journey is definitely a fragile balance on a tightrope at times. Everyone struggles. The moments we feel we cannot stretch our own wings is when angels flutter around and lift us up. This is such a lovely write, and Jack you did a masterful job on the music. It has the perfect tone for Frieda's poem.
Bravo to you both. A friendship that enriches, through writing and music, is indeed a blessing! :)

Thank you Marie.
Wow, you know I love the music it made me cry, again hearing it the second time round. This write left me breathless. This was heart wrenching but beautiful. You know you always touch my heart when you write - especially about your lovely sister - and this write made me cry. Life can seem daunting and lonely but when you have close, good reliable friends it helps that little bit.

"I wander a'flutter stormy nights
searching for the reasons why
in surrender's darkness there is light" -- simply amazing, Frifri. You always write with your heart and soul and pour yourself on to the page.

Stunning. x

Rose, thank you so very much. I was honored when Frieda used my music with her beautiful poem.
Hi Frieda this is a little different. The music is great the poem was quite different as well for you.Way more direct. We find in life that truly while we may share our paths we are all accountable and we truly are on our own most of the time.A butterfly in the eternal sea of the cosmos Very nice

Red, nuff said. Thanks so much my friend. Frieda is a dream to work with.
The fight of this butterfly seems to be a metaphor for life. She sets out with harmonious promise, but then encounters tribulations that cast her into a darkness that contains an inspiring voice that calls her name as she flutters here & there. Moonbeam's prayer!
