Insidious Lover

Insidious Lover

A Poem by Frieda P

you, my insidious temptation
the lover that taunts me
seduces me to acquiescence
my haunting addiction
you, wrap around my senses
absolute cunning & Machiavellian grace
annulled my comprehension
drained my rational mind
took me on your flight of fancy
careless beast of burden
you burn so smoothly, pounce so quickly
knocked my perception off kilter
stilli take you in slowly              methodically
till every inch of you inside me bursts into flames
                                             takes my breath away
 fire lingers  flagrantly brazen
warning my head, warming my loins
I tremble in the delectation of your touch
sigh deeply,              as I plead for surrender
you flip me over again in a rush
my head dizzy from the pleasure

two dirty vodka martinis are more than
I can handle as I fade into you

Soft music, flickering candles, moon light reflecting in your eyes, satin skin, jasmine fragrance as soft shears dance with the breeze of the evening, a warm bed, hot passion, chocolate martinis, sweet lips tantalizing, temptations engulfs as the night is young... Just got carried away with the poem and the music. Amazing my sweet friend.

I'm hot blooded, check it and see...got a fever burnin' inside of me...;P

Good lord, I was grinning before I finished line one ;P I don't suppose you saw my status last night/this morning did you? If you didn't there is a massive chunk of irony in this piece haha But wow, this is the most awake I've been all day...some delightfully devilish wordplay here but it's the incendiary imagery that brought me to attention here...just the thought of every inch bursting into flames...whew...I'd say you're better off sticking to one martini from now on, but if this is what materializes from two? Have at it my love...thanks for the, um, heads-up Mrs.R ;)

We always want the bad boys and with each sip of a dirty vodka martini, they seem more desirable. The passion, desire, and seduction in every nuance of this one tantalizes, Frieda. Exceptionally well written. Lydi**

Thanks Lydie, jazzed you enjoyed this one...love 'tantalizes' by the way.
An insidious lover is a daring rogue and pirate, but his company is far better than an insipid person who follows the status quo's book of cold-fish recipes and rules.

Whoa, hot hot hot, nice Frieda. loved it, maybe a little too much.

Looked up insidious: working or spreading harmfully in a subtle or stealthy manner: intended to entrap.

The poem was too much or you loved it too much?... Lol Either way, thanks Revery....
Soft and sensual, yet written with elegance and class. This is lovely...and the music you added increases the mood so well. Stunning poetry my friend. :) Julie

Woo 'seducing' that's a great review my friend, can I favorite a review? ;-) Grazie mille.....
Could this be about a real lover...poetry or perhaps alcohol?? All three are insidious in their ability to enthrall and drive us out of our right minds. But we love them all...returning again and again to feel the heat of their delicious distraction. Speaking of heat...I just clicked on the ac...whoooo...getting quite steamy in here. Time for a shower and then maybe a reread!! Lol.... You do this so well...xoxo
