Splendor of your touch...

Splendor of your touch...

A Poem by Frieda P

Etch upon my soul with resplendent golden ribbons
so that my heart shall beat within the rhythm of your rhyme
Write me sonnets of the splendor and epiphanies of poetry
pen emotion's bliss in pomegranates evocative style
I feel the earth move within the whispers of the wind
force gales and zephyrs take flight upon the senses
indescribably delicious taste of another's rapture

"Thou art mine distant moon
Influencing the tides of mine soul
Illuminating fragile words of grief
That grieve in longing of thee, o' distant moon"

I stand in your light of radiance that dwells in the present
swoon me to another time and place of peaceful serenity
thine words written upon my skin mark its stance in perpetuity
I shall dance endlessly in the lavish brilliance of your grandeur

Oh, oh, oh.....a poem reminiscent of Shakespeare himself, Frieda. Whomever wrote that second verse really inspired you! Your words are "resplendent golden ribbons" in this one. Dreamy romance, incredible imagery, and that photo to accompany your words....sizzling! Great work. Lydi**

Thanks Gabriel, that's Dax Johnson, one of my favorites, glad you enjoyed!
A most intriguing work Mrs.R...I'm not even sure what to say about it haha The act of writing on a lover, especially with the writing tools you suggest, has long been considered a sensual act...I'm surprised it isn't written about more, but that makes your evocations all the more significant...you razz me for getting Shakespearean at times, but the writer of the middle verse has me trumped in that aspect...it's wonderfully written, as are your bits, but I've never written literally in that style...have you ever noticed that? haha ;P Great work as always :)

Thank you Barbara, glad you enjoyed this one!
and so the poet was born... tween day and night... while humanity was sleeping ...the oceans a vessel to carry him/her back across the earth again and by the winds to fly back up to highest peek... reaching into the sky ..gathering brother and sister stars...never longing ...never far from home. You take me there every time you write upon my soul and I never tire of hearing about dear father Moon or mother Sun.You are BEAUTIFUL even when you are shroud in tears.

Wow Queenie thanks, this is lovely.....
Frieda, this is truly a wonderful poem, inspired by a friend... my thanks to both of you. this has been a fantasy of mine, to write a poem on the back of my lover... to express in soft and gentle touches the way she makes me feel, I used to write words and she would try and guess what I was writing, it was deeply sensual and drew us closer somehow but it was finger tips only.. your poem reminds me of how much two can share and how touch is one of the many ways that is expressed... and the 2nd verse, with so much longing.. beautifully done Frieda... be well, ~~redzone

I'll take it N, thanks so much.
The flow of language here is wonderful, Frieda, a different cadence than your usual, but it works beautifully.
