'Stop Writing Everything Down'

'Stop Writing Everything Down'

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~with a little help from my favorite Leonard Cohen

"
'stop writing everything down'
bouncing round here in my unrhym'd head
i crossed a line in the ocean that doesn't exist
more than two kerfuffled sides of several coins
things don't stay the same but they never change
i see things from both sides now and neither is winning
voices singing off key, what happened to jazz hands
leave it alone, just bask in the sun and dip into the shadows
lost in the script of love song lyrics that I wrote myself
my tongue is tone deaf and my ears can't taste a sound
i'll just suffer this fate, and write it all in hieroglyphics
then it won't matter what tone it's strung out around
'stop writing everything down'..............................

I write everything down . . . . like "inhale, exhale" . . . . that sort of thing. Jotting things down help me to visualize things. Like with your name your eyebrows need to be connected over your nose. Things like that. Anyway, I liked the poem and jotted down some notes about it . . . . but there I go again. (inhale) Nice job and enjoyable.

Yep. Frieda, there is a multitude of wisdom hidden in these confused lines. You wrote it down, but your Muse seems to have organized it so that it makes a semblance of sense!
