~contemplative reflections

~contemplative reflections

A Poem by Frieda P
"

*just some scribbles inspired by petulia*

"
...another year gone by
time for contemplative reflections
stand with grace     ease deliberately
away from grievances & heavy sighs
wondering when the past will adapt
another challenge of the heart & soul
new reserves of inner strength
fortified through friendly smiles
another step forward to new dimensions
wandering somewhere above the clouds of mind
must embrace elapsed time to live the present
weakened resolutions now seeking restitution
time on a silver platter graciously
 abounds
another day, another lesson, another year gone by
surrendering to this brilliant gift we call life

Yes, the new year is the time for contemplative reflection. We ponder and ruminate about what has transpired throughout the year just passed and are a bit pensive about what might happen in the one just started. Life may not be perfect, but it is ours...and we are alive. That is what is important. Your introspective “scribbles” are a joy to read. Lydi**

Thanks so much Thomas.
I'm excited for this year but I will be less stressed after February has gone by (I'm worried about my foot, lol) so once that month is gone, I shall rest and finally enjoy the new year to come! :-)

happy New Years to you and yours Mama F - a beautiful picture to go with a stunning, simply divine write.

ease deliberately
away from grievances & heavy sighs... This is excellent advice, each day...

Your closing lines are an uplifting mantra, Frieda - I love this piece, so full of Light!

Thanks John, getting out of the bed on the 'wrong' side still proved fruitful thanks to Em! lol
Each day is indeed an adventure on many paths we have taken but this day is the day we loom back down those paths to see where we've been, what we have accomplished, who we have met and what we have created. Very nicely penned my sweet friend and I am so happy that the first poem I read in 2014 was yours.

Then we have something in common because you do the same for me.
One of my favourite songs.. in fact, have had it on and off my Profile page for about three weeks, different version.. back again now. We so often think and feel along the same lines.

As to your words, life should never, never be wasted; without it we're nothing on earth or in space -whatever scientists might say. But, but.. maybe it's a touch or more of love that really brings us to life.
