Don't piss off the muse...

Don't piss off the muse...

A Poem by Frieda P

Madness rules the pen,
   freedom of speech
         not even a concept
what the muse says goes,
just give in to the inky blows,
dip that quill in bloody tears
color it with apricot custard dawning's
    ravage erotica's blissful yearnings
crack a rib on that funny bone
if you fight the urges,
you'll end up on the chopping block
    writer's imagination arrested
don't piss off the muse,

'tis  a woefully dreaded plight indeed...

A mass of words is the writers' Mind Puppeteer . without IT we're empty, without it we're limp as a leaf in pain. You express what needs to be said, advice well given should be well used. You're the one, missus.

that's right muses are a fickle lot. they love honey and barbeque sauce and the flesh beneath it? Whatever is around.

Often wonder, if it not sanity that guides us, through an insane world, which people refuse to acknowledge this. Or have the truth exposed before them. Just my two cents worth.

I really relate to the poem. (The music is messing with my typing here. Getting every other letter.)

Really, I never saw that happen, thanks....I think a lot of poets relate to this one :-)
This is so true. Utter madness. I find myself lost in thoughts like these often and I want that song as a ringtone. lol Nice work and thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Thanks Purplerose, jazz'd you enjoyed. :-)
I like this: reminds me of the poem I wrote about my muse going fishing.
Yeah, it sucked, but, it's cause my muse was fishing. I have no other excuses.

Put on something red, Muses like red.

Ha will do, mine goes out dancing without me, silly muse, thanks Trace.
Madness
Pain
Ire
Wrath
Love
Blissfulness
and all others

All are muses. Indeed, we are shrouded with muses...

We bleed with our pen when we are bleeding.
We soar with the words when we are in bliss.

Ah -
That is our way of life. Poets.

So it is Belle, thanks so much for pausing and your kind words.
Bravo! If not for the whispering muse, I'd have no words to write with. Excellent job, Freida.
