Don't piss off the muse...

Don't piss off the muse...

A Poem by Frieda P

Madness rules the pen,
   freedom of speech
         not even a concept
what the muse says goes,
just give in to the inky blows,
dip that quill in bloody tears
color it with apricot custard dawning's
    ravage erotica's blissful yearnings
crack a rib on that funny bone
if you fight the urges,
you'll end up on the chopping block
    writer's imagination arrested
don't piss off the muse,

'tis  a woefully dreaded plight indeed...

A mass of words is the writers' Mind Puppeteer . without IT we're empty, without it we're limp as a leaf in pain. You express what needs to be said, advice well given should be well used. You're the one, missus.

'.. dip that quill in bloody tears ~ color it with apricot custard dawning's ~ ravage erotica's blissful yearnings.. '

sublime advice indeed. There's color in your writing like the color in a kaleidoscope.

Wow thanks roarke, I'm humbled by that statement, thanks so much.
I get it Frieda! Sometimes you just have to go where the muse takes you...or "poof" gone in a flash...

Love this cute little gem!

Exactly, she's a pesky little critter, I've been poof'd a few times....ha, thanks Julie! :-)
Lol Jack has a point there.. but damn this muse sounds interesting, I'd like to take a twirl at seeing sides of this muse and her extremes. This was mind shattering, bone crackling, so good.. had the terror instilled through her words, fear i must shut up now or the muse will think i'm weird.

Ha, don't look at me, it's all the muse!
A musing how you lock into the autobiographical with inspiration as full view of the relapsing relative by release... "apricot custard dawning's" "ravage erotica's" Yes, I think I've seen and am aware of those visuals to phenolic congruency...excellent piece

Grazie mille mojo, always an interesting review from your pen my friend, muchly appreciated.
Ink from a heart of an artist, is unpredictable, always a surprise ... I piss off my muse so often, he hates me, and I him, but yet, I try to embrace him again, with all the balanced love I have... and play along ;) what a thought provoking brilliant piece my dear.... love it!

Ain't that the truth. Like when I decided not to write about my time in the corps anymore and soon found out that was impossible.

Ha, exactly, the muse knows...........................
madness rules the pen.. yes, but in your hands the pen scripts and the muse nods, smiles and says, "listen up, Frieda wrote that line: "color it with apricot custard dawning" and I the great and wonderful muse, am jealous.. hmmmm, doesn't seem like you pissed her off Frieda... loved your poem.. ~~redzone
