_RELENTLESS_

_RELENTLESS_

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Photography ~ Christian Martin Weiss

"
Landlocked seas deeper than you could ever envision
in the garish light of day you still can't imagine
how deep the waters go beneath your soul
fathomed in technicolor'd foam dragging you rock bottom
from the tip of your crown, til splay'd on your knees,
power of persuasion will haunt your psyche
an amused cat with a mouse, toying endlessly
injected under the skin as a festering toxin

The spirit of sleep that never comes
in your hour of pain when you seek peace
blink        in your head, it'll disperse your bones
take you from the ones you love
twist your mindset til it's crippled
no one can rescue your sanity
prick 'd  reminders of broken promises
     desolate within forsaken tidings
there'll be no garnered reprieves,
   wreaking havoc     forcing your hand,
you'll be stripped naked to the core
    altered thought patterns's, taunt's forte

Vociferous in assaulting crazed delirium
holding the power of your deliberation
ever sagacious, it will never leave your mind

  Mistress of unscrupulous tenet
no way to be saved from its clutches
    torturous grasp burrows in deep
entangled guts tied up with heartstrings
You can't escape, you are render'd,

Breathless in this noxious poison ~

RELENTLESS..................

I don't even know why I like this as much as I do... but this is my favorite of yours... and one of my favs off this site. I love the relentlessness which you depict here, such a deep pain which seeks to drag you down and consume you. Or perhaps it wishes only to drag your limp corpse across a razor sharp reef.

Favorite line was
Vociferous in assaulting crazed delirium
holding the power of your deliberation
ever sagacious, it will never leave your mind

I love how you used both vociferous and sagacious in the same sentence; two ideas which are rarely held together. Usually meditation doesn't consist of screaming, but this is something new... powerful... and deep. As if gone is the sage who seeks enlightenment through calming his soul, and here comes the sage who has found his own enlightenment through bounding with a primal energy which only he understands.... a feral fury. Thanks for the review... it prompted me to come here and look over this, and I must say, I think I got the better deal. ;)

Deeply foreboding and eerie... so peculiarly you, yet haunted.

Ha I was thinking you thought me peculiar, and you'd have been correct in your assumption ;-)

Well, I certainly believe there is something peculiar in all of us poets. Would you agree?

Ha that would be putting it mildly, yes, we're all a bunch of lunatics.
This is one of your mind blowing piece of work....respect

I'm humbled you think so A. Thanks so much, I'm enthralled by your kind words.
Artwork and poetry. A amazing journey. I could feel the struggle in the description. Sometime it is hard to hold to sanity. We are chased by demons and ghost taking apart our mind and our thoughts.

I had to read again for the pleasure of the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Very freaky photography I know. Thanks so much for your kind words Coyote.
Holy shyte this is a poem and a half Frieda. It's personal and painful but this has to be the most powerful one you've written... The emotion, all of it, is on spot and you've nailed it. Every single detail in this has been written to perfection. You're a survivor for sure, and a bloody strong one at that too. Don't you ever let anyone give you crap or tell you any different, because I will kick them so hard they won't get back up again.

The title was perfect.

Stilettos and all that jazz! xo

' The spirit of sleep that never comes ~ in your hour of pain when you seek peace ~ blink in your head, it'll disperse your bones .. '

This is a cruel one, love.. both and worse for you, and, for the reader who truly would like to make the dark drift away.

And yet.. yet, dear friend, you have the skill to use words like magic, every phrase laid so finely. Just wish so much they weren't so sad. (You)

Powerful stuff and exquisite craft. A thinking mind can be a dark mistress, no doubt about that.

Whatever floats your boat Baby....
Ditto Red..

raw, unflavored pain.. and served cold, desperate and from the depths of that landlocked sea...

Yes, it is RELENTLESS... and what I also found relentless is the power and artistry of your poetry found even in the grip of that unscrupulous mistress... she can't stop you and we are moved by the courage found in your words, ... ~~redzone

Thanks so much curt, if you were here right now, I'd give you a huge squishy....xo
This siren is a cunning one and you are right no one can save another's sanity and the helplessness that follows from those who watch is unbearable. I know this dark place and I pray for a light for all of us embroiled in this relentless noxious hell.
