Michelangelo & cherry pits

Michelangelo & cherry pits

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~'forever in blue jeans'

"

You are my Michelangelo

      Dom Pérignon & caviar ~

rumble of a tumble in the back seat

           of an old dilapidated jeep,

            plumrose honey wine bliss'd sighs

you flip me sideways to newfangl'd heights

unfurl my spirit brilliantly to soar

bring me back to earth once more

clear my blue jeans view'd horizons,

my heart's darkly desir'd hot chocolate

                       sweltering melted kisses

             dipp'd within the cherrypit bloom

                         of my rapturous soul's anticipation

love the contrasts ... aristocratic age and fine art (itself innovative contrasts of light and dark) fine wine ...delicate expensive foods and then the blue jeans ...ohh the blue jeans ... flames growing higher with regard to the beautiful ... in a jeep's back seat no less .. puts a smile on my face this morning :))

Of course my version of this would have strawberries..chocolate covered. Sounds like the best memories of love all gathered in one big bow wrapped box. A splendid collection to eye....mouth watering scintillating good!! Lol...I have to admit I was dancing a little to this one. xo

Oh geez funny you should mention that haha, thanks muchly Red! xo
Oh my, you've awoken me again Mrs.R...I never like saying that someone else's stuff reminds me of myself cuz it sounds kind of pretentious, but this kind of reminds me of me, not in the poem itself, cuz only you can pull off this kind of poetic beauty...the structure is where I see me, starting with Michaelangelo and winding up in a bliss'd jeep three lines later without the poem missing a beat. Lots of savoury images in this one my dear, hard to pick any as favourites, but the sideways flip...whew, that one got my attention. Hot stuff ;) xo

Top of the line offerings, the best that money can buy. Seeing the best, drinking the best and eating the best and loving the best. Such a savory poem you have served to us today sweet Frieda. The fine china is glistening in your beautiful phrases. Blue jeans forever...this piece could charm the pants off of anyone.

So very amazing is what I find each and every time I read your work.
