Angel's cuppa tea...

Angel's cuppa tea...

A Poem by Frieda P

She folded over the wildflowers,
as a proper napkin sitting in her lap
pristine setting of china rose tea
    sipping daintily beneath her eyes
extra sugar in her brewed unraveling
poison of his cup
was as profoundly robust as he
felt the toxicity of his words,
as he hit the floor she curtsied
knowing full well the only antidote
was her desperate release to hell
Angel's Trumpets blared in perfect sync

How can something written so beautifully be so very dark in nature. Indeed nature does harness so much darkness often offered in such vibrant and wonderful colors. Enticing the wanderer to partake of this beauty until they realize the sweet nectar is pure poison...

Frieda your poetry is always amazing to me...always luring me into your world

Frieda, pretty sure only you can put something this dark into a beautiful light. Wonderfully written and just a little alarming :)

Ahhhhhhhhh.. not only the poisonous plant but, the poisonous pen! Superb wording, great style .. as always! Your venom is quite beautiful, dear friend. (Making note: remember how!)

Some people can be good for us and bad for us at the same time… when the good out ways the bad we must release them into the world alone.

In the end, we all drink of the cup that we deserve... ;) A wickedly clever write, Frieda!

Ummmm... killer cup of tea and somebody is the unfortunate recipient of it...sounds like an episode from the ID Channel...perfect words chosen to depict the dark corners of some ones mind and in the deceptive name of flower lies a hint of it's purpose. Intriguing!

Mhm, preach it girl - I think all guys need to beware of us, ahaha. We can be real biatches when we want to... I loved this write, it is full of power and really packs a punch, ha.

Yes, did you know the most common way for women to kill someone is poison? We don't like mess. LOL. It's also a "passive aggressive" method of killing. A good write, as always.

God this work reminds me England, various types of tea; next time no tea for me:)
As always great work my dear

I've read this several times now, and I originally envisioned divine figures, but the more I read it, the more human this couple becomes. There are certainly a good bunch of demons in human guise on this planet, that's for sure. I suppose there are multiple ways of interpreting the fatality of an object with Angel in the title. What's more unsettling to me though is how calm she is as she patiently waits for the poison to take over her unsuspecting partner. In any event, the diversity of you poetic brilliance is at work here again, this time with a piece that has an element of storytelling to it. It's a bit of a departure for you theme-wise, but you just have the Midas touch when it comes to poetry my dear. I also just clued into the slyness of that extra sugar haha That line is dynamite...brewed unraveling is a good description of how I view every day upon finishing my first coffee. I always know I'm going to be left in awe when I approach one of your works, and you never disappoint...xo
