stuck on a hook....................................................................

stuck on a hook....................................................................

A Poem by Frieda P

cobalt metal monkeys cling

in reeling creative circus chaos

like dripping molten ash

ache from the fallout

you exhale darkly riddled pain

i inhale smoky denial

lives lit on fire

spun in gray matter

disjointed cold sober allegories

falling from a desolate sky

craving kicks inclination

embers hitting pay dirt's

fix'd enslavement

stuck on a hook

self destruction’s behavior

bent on indifference’s

obsessive sweet tooth

jonesing for a speeding bullet

an injurious habit's alibi

shot through the eye

at the scene of the crime

more than one fatality suspect

poppy blooms wither'd

sacrificed in crimson's desire

whilst laid out in entomb'd

conviction's escaped act of faith

Addictions to alcohol and drugs will hold you back from loved ones and any other positive experience that helps you grow spiritually. Mind blowing poetry my friend.

It's mystical, gives you a high without any explanation. Your poems will be banned in few countries for their intoxicating affect for sure ;)

addiction, affliction...stuck on that hook like a bass that tries everything but can't get off.

i really like the "exhaling pain, and inhaling smoky denial"---

such a dark piece done so well, my friend.

Frieda, the picture posted next to your name cons people into thinking you are a very pretty face, but you write some mean poetry, lady....The depth and emotion, twisted psychosis and images of death wishes are brilliantly disturbing. You mentioned if we want to get to know you, just read your poetry. If this is or was inspired by something in your life, you have my sympathy and my prayers. I pray your life is finally at peace, my friend. God, bless you.

What truly captures me about some of your poems is that you focus primarily on the, well, let us use this poem as an example. You focus primarily on the falling ashes of the fallout, rather than what initially caused the fallout to be, whom I always perceive to be as the same person that is the ash. The person you speak of is both the ash and the cause, as if he were the explosion that brought forth the ash into existence as a piece of him and you swoon to his command, and you acknowledge only the dangers that could be solved; a denial, so to speak. But the true dangers of which are caused directly by his behaviors go unacknowledged, intentionally ignored by your speaker to avoid having to actually solve the issue at hand, which is actually simply that person.
It gives me a glance into the mind of someone harboring hope, a hope that thrives in ignoring the true issues and dangers and perceiving the world only as it wants to, not as it is. just my thoughts.
I enjoyed this, well done; I especially liked the first few lines, they hooked me instantly and went right into the point about the potential of danger.

It didn't take long for me to see what was happening here love, nor would it have taken me long to realize who wrote this if I didn't know otherwise...you just have this way of looking at things, I can't explain it...but every line in this piece is a winner, and you make every word count...I can also tell when you're writing from personal experience...I can't explain how I know that either but I do...hugs to you...xo
