Magpie Madness

Magpie Madness

A Poem by Frieda P

Madness loom'd overhead
   like an over eager magpie
      circling  pleasure's pain,
 breathing in the poison headiness
     of feather-less flights
         in indiscretion's consumption,
closing in to pluck the decay,
  under skin's frustrated blight
carrion of a ravag'd heart it did consume
            suck'd the afflicted remains
                  of vulturous destruction
  pecking blind eyes in testimony
                of  dispirited manifestations

Seems you like the familiar poison too, thanks Chris...
You do a magnificent job on the dark side, my friend. Between that one and your obsession with great shoes, you keep me hopping! Awesome write, yet again.

Pick the bones clean. I'm here for the audition. Seriously though, this is artistically morbid and dark; I love it. Excellent write.

My pleasure. Any time...:)........................
Your ability to dab your pen in the dark side always intrigues me, simply because I don't think I ever have...well, maybe once. But you do it with such finesse!

The ever scary magpie in all its glory. A dark and elusive bird that is likened by many or hated by many. This delved into a dark side of life and hinted at a conflict of love and despair.

Thanks so much Ayushi :)
There isn't anything I do not love about this girl: the flow is dreamy, language is rich and hearty, and the tone dark and delicious... It is also visually captivating. Awesome!
