midnight illusions ~

midnight illusions ~

A Poem by Frieda P
"

...

"

Most nights she dances alone

with the maniac in her head

       prancing about allusion's shadow

on a wing and a song

     daylight scorches twirling freedom's feathers

          asylum harbors taunting deceptions

                  blistering of sun's betrayal

clear night vision through midnight hours

captivated by gray spatters bliss'd oblivion,

         alluring sting of cloak'd daggers

with her sword, she slays the dragons

                 illusion's surrender set free

                      wrapped in delusion's ecstasy

dancing faster to catch up............

I love this poem the metaphors are amazing and the imagery really takes me places.

clear night vision through midnight hours
captivated by gray spatters bliss'd oblivion,
alluring sting of cloak'd daggers
with her sword, she slays the dragons

These lines took my breath away.

The contrast between day and night or light and dark are what speak to me most...almost like the night hides all the pain that the day brings so at night she is free.

It's crazy but I used to dance around alone back in the day when I had my own little apartment and drive the neighbours mad with loud music...

I'd blare some really nasty angry music, TERRIBLE LIE by NIN was a personal fave at the time.
I'd excercise my demons in those moments, let it all out...

And then, completely spent and purged I would rest in peace.
I'm not crazy, just had much in my head back then. :)

Cheers sista!
Very artistic, but I'm unsure of the aim if there is one... Either way, the language is pretty and very dressed up. It made me feel somewhat surprisingly elated after I read it. Gorgeous writing.

This was very good, Frieda P. Dale has been bugging me to get an account here to post all my work but to read all his friends and the first place he told me to go was to his Moonbeams account and read a few of your poems and I am so thankful, this was out of this world, crazy good. I am honoured to have read this poem. You are quite the feisty mamacita, arentcha? :))

I'm detecting sarcasm. I'll need to get Dale to fill me in on how this all works.

Are you making fun of me? No seriously, how did you crawl inside my mind and put this poem with this song? Very nice, Frieda. You are a maniac, and it takes one to know one ...:)
