Exhale Poetry II

Exhale Poetry II

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For Lee ♥

"
Butterfly haunts me
flutters in the darkest of night
when the smoke dismally cleared
all that was left was a still photograph
no breath to be had, no words to be spoken
perched upon my affection where no one can see,
all the secrets that taunt my scarred soul
our story's final chapter closed too soon

Left behind in your spirit reminisces
like an erratic zephyr, they twist my mind
nothing sacred in how you fled the atmosphere
I oft wonder have you found destiny's redemption
as you floated aimlessly from this earth
etching markings on a sky of colorless clues
surrendering only in my dream's illusions
still tracing the dusky painted haze
all that's left is to exhale poetry

Seriously hurts my heart to read this, Frieda...

It's the pain that flows through the vein of your poetry, which I find the most endearing...

"I oft wonder have you found destiny's redemption
as you floated aimlessly from this earth
etching markings on a sky of colorless clues

surrendering only in my dream's illusions
still tracing the dusky painted haze

all that's left is to exhale poetry "~ This moved me to the very core...

Stunning....~xoxo~

"etching markings on a sky of colorless clues" - it must be so maddening for you dear friend to have the same questions go round and round you r mind like some kind of possessed inquisitor. Writing is the only respite Frieda which is why you do it so well.
I pray to St Anthony that you get some peace

This is a fantastic write Frieda. I enjoyed music clip very much too. What was most impressive was the descriptive eloquence you forth as a needing soul who needed share a moment of exhaled poetry. Great work. A fantastic & dynamic write. :)

I believe, not only am I crying but so is my heart. I am not sure who Lee is but this broke my heart to read it. I can only guess Lee is someone close to your heart but you should know that even when someone we care for is gone from our world, they are never far because they are apart of us... Heartbreaking but written amazingly well.

Some question cannot be answered till we read a similar place. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

I know that you have taken in such pain, Frieda, but you do indeed breathe out stunning poetry in its wake...

I choose to believe that at least they get the ease of spirit in the hereafter that eluded them in life. This is sad chica and a pain that is ever present.

You know I can always tell when you are talking to your sister Freida and the title was such that it immediately compelled me to read it. I'm glad you have poetry to purge with and let your emotions flow through your pen because you have been blessed with such a gift for it to speak through you...utterly succinct and brilliant my dahling.
