Remain unsaid...

Remain unsaid...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

drunken reality

"

Territorial in composition's pain,
      possessive dance of
            temperament's affectivity,
 can't sing my sad song
leave me be to play upon
   my heartache's
             frenetic piano keys
    tune your own authentic
                     drunken reality,
 don't presume you know
    the angst within my breath
       the way my soul bled,
           tears that were shed,
   nor the million minuscule
       pieces that remain unsaid,
    notes of my obsession
                            left unsung

I've read this specific poem multiple times and each time I am left speechless, the music and your words touch my heart and render me speechless. So I decided to read it to my Gran - 'cause we all know she loves you and your poetry - and damn, even she was speechless (which made me larf) but anywho...

We all have experiences that have shaped us and our past/future... Whoever judges you, needs to have their head checked... I know exactly how it feels to be judge, I'm judged everyday - They may know you but they don't know your story. I wish some wouldn't judge a book by it's cover but they do. You know I love you and think you're the most amazing woman I've ever met... You're my inspiration and I admire you more than words can say.

Flip flops & all that jazz! xoxo

no one else but us can know nor sing our sad song.. each of the many steep steps
of sorrow we had to climb up just to get through another day.. the pain may be hidden
but it's still there just the same and the words to speak of it `remain unsaid`

a heartfelt piece so well written...

Thanks so much Fran....
This message was delivered loud and clear Frieda.
No one can ever truly understand someone else's personal pain.
Nor should they press the issue, BUT be careful not to shut people out because of it. You're a beautiful woman with lots of heart, spunk and all that "jazz". You make people laugh and smile. Let someone do that for you too. Keep your guard up, but take a peek through the cracks every so often.
I hope this little speech hadn't branded me as one of "those". I'm far from a preacher!!
More of an evangelist. :]
Great poem, powerful emotions.

Lol!! Yes, I know the type. :)
Astounding! I truly like this!
The thing for me is all those cliches thrwon around which of course I believe in none and all that lovvy dovvy bullshit (excuse my french there) and if we are all so into one another. What's up with the reflection then? Never has the demonstration of that which is what we do so violent so alienating so insensitive. In this writing for me is a real cause can be found. We struggle to understand one another. Even after 20 years of marriage somedays I think someone abducted my wife I replaced it for an automaton. Becuase the kind of things she comes out with.... .
And Frieda here is telling me:
I would tell you about the things they have put me through, The pain I've been subjected to,The countless feasts laid at my feet, Forbidden fruits for me to eat,Now I'm not looking for absolution, Forgiveness for the things I do , But before you come to any conclusions:

Try walking in my shoes!

Oh brother !

Exactly....some people think they can feel your pain or tell you how to fix it. But they don't know anything because they haven't lived it themselves. Kind advice can turn into holy than thou posturing quite easily, maybe without the person meaning to. But I don't usually give people the benefit of the doubt on that one. I think we are a quick fix society that is disconnected from the fact that tragedy and pain scar us and thus alter us from what we once were. You are never the same and you have to find a new way to take flight....

People cannot begin to know what we are going through or how we feel.To judge is easy but to spend a day in our shoes not so much.Amazing pen chica :)

You are welcome girl :)
Frieda, I can never judge you, or the experiences that have shaped your past, but instead, offer a shoulder to cry upon, and an ear or two, should you want to talk. I know what it's like, to have other people past judgment upon you, when they know nothing of the journey, which we are forced to take, to arrive at this place and time. May you find release, to your pain and sorrow. Thank you, for sharing this very important reminder, with us.

You're sweet therisa, thanks for your kind words.
"Notes of my obsession left unsung… " All the little things never said, all the plans spun out in our heads but never carried through… hearts adrift… How egotistical for anyone to think they can "know" another's suffering.
