Once Upon a Time

I expected no prince.

Never in a millenium

would have I expected him.

He was tall but not the tallest.

He was fair but not as pale.

I was pretty but not as beautiful.

I was petite but not as frail.

A routine visit brought him

but I he did not see.

For days I watched him from afar

before I dared to introduce me.

Now here he sits behind me

In our carriage with no horse.

For the first time I can call him mine

my own prince of sorts.

Your format in stanzas and the flow throughout was very well done. I think the second stanza stands out as very descriptive that two aren't perfect . The last stanza show the hope and the happiness that is set to move forward. Very well done, thank you for the read request.

I really like the first 2 stansaz? I got no idea bout structured poetry. But I really like the first 2, the others r good butif they worked like the others..the mayb I thinkat the least it all would have woeked for me. Only my opinion. but well done!
