A Poem by gabiaimee
"

Lightness, weight, fighting, peace

"
When my breaths feel heavy and toxic,
when I inhale solid smoke and steam,
you feel like purified oxygen in my lungs.

When my thoughts pull me up and away,
when I float on fears and fantasies,
you, my anchor, carry me back down to earth.

Thank you for your lightness and your weight.

When I give up on my own battles,
when I let the darkness take me hostage,
you win me back like you're my soldier.

When my heart pounds at a mile a minute,
when my mind races even faster.
you hold me still and breathe calmness into me.

Thank you for your fighting and your peace.
