When I first move to English speaking countries. I was surprised how everyone are polite . Later I discovered its just make up to keep peace in between people. Sometimes it's can be very helpful. But you need sometimes to pull out your troubles. Sometimes you feel under pressure to be always polite. I am from Eastern Europe
Some people saying people at Eastern Europe are very rude. Well we are just brutal honest. But that's doesn't make us more happier. But at least you know what's really going on.

I think important is to find balance in between telling truth and to be kind. Not everyone can master it. It's very delicate cause everyone one have different nature and what's for you polite can be for another person very rude. We can see it for example communication in between Japanese and Western people . I can say what really can set me off during any communication is aseretive agressive communication .

I completely agree. Cultural conflicts often cause communication breakdown. On the one hand, you don't have to be hypocrite just to please whoever you're talking to. On the other hand, you shouldn't open up to whoever says hi, because not everyone can handle the true answer of their questions. Ah! what a hard equation!

I think if you are sensitive enough. You can feel what each person need at particular moment. I guess reading lot of poetry can make quiet big help. All the best with your daily communication.

I love how you use "Peachy" to connote the old snark of "feeling peachy" which could mean not-so-peachy. This is the way to pick one word so wisely that it provides the entire mood & setting for your message. This is the best I've ever seen it done, where someone puts down so few words & such imaginative ones at that, expressing a sentiment we all know & have experienced ten million times, but leaving it open to various interpretations at the same time.
