" Don't worry, be happy, "

" Don't worry, be happy, "

A Poem by gram linski

Do you ever get that feeling
deep inside your head
when you know there must be reasons
but the reasons are all dead
did you ever get the meaning
of the words we never say
and you know that she still cares
but the memories are all grey

Do you ever get that feeling
deep inside your brain
where you always pray for sunshine
but you know it's going to rain
did you ever get the meaning
of the things she left behind
they weren't left for beauty
or just left to remind

Do you ever get that feeling
deep inside your head
when you hope that she still loves you
but she's never  ever said
did you ever get the meaning
of the picture on the wall
it doesn't really mean much
and I guess that says it all.

i feel like i am looking at an abstract painting, shaking my head and trying to make heads or tails as to what it is saying to me.
yes, i had all these feelings expressed in this poem...had them one time or another....for sure.

when i can relate...yes, of course i liked the poem...
great and easy rhythm sir ... nothing trite about the rhyme says i! well done .. so emotive .. heavy weights of grey .. trying so hard to stay afloat through rational thought .. its a stormy sea out there isn't it!? we hang on and ride it out .. at best sometimes .. i love your closing .. its strong and puts a wrap on the story .. well done ..

Thanks Einstein, glad you liked it, it is for sure a stormy sea called life,
Stepping out of the comfort zone is a risky art form sir! Love this rhyming piece because it trots the reader through a thinking process, describing all the doubts and aspirations many hold but that in the end it has no real meaning but in our heads and in our sorry hearts!
