Habitual Cycle

Habitual Cycle

A Poem by The Lady Anasteja
"

Another day

"
As I sit here, I wonder
once, twice,
will the third be just as foregoing
or will it be unprecedented

yet,
aren't they all equal

six years gone, another two have followed

fooled with the promise of contingency

we can't relive what's already been
but isn't that how we live generally?
walking in the shoes of old habits

one forward step is only the continuous of time on repeat

ahh.. history..

is the present

we all make the same mistakes, how oddly relevent to my present situation. I do love your words so carefully pieced together.

The past mold the present as it shapes the future. I really like this one.
A favorite of mine for sure this

you continue to amaze me. I loved it all but this is my favorite line: "we can't relive what's already been
but isn't that how we live generally? walking in the shoes of old habits" brilliant.

This is my favorite out of all your poems. I really loved the feel, and the first line captured my attention. Kudos to you.
