Crucify the Siren: Aria of the Horizon

Crucify the Siren: Aria of the Horizon

A Poem by dan nacario

The flicker of your dawning eyes,
Shall break the spell of your disguise.
With rotten petals of your fear
And dancing stars will disappear.

My mirror mirror on the wall,
Foretold the ending of their fall.
Like brewing storms of weeping night
That canceled the dandelions' flight.

A shadow to be forgotten,
With the painted waves to listen.
Beside the horizon's nymph lie,
The lost Orion of the sky

The flow in this piece is amazing! It keeps the reader going, almost in a trance, especially with the use of words such as "spell" and "mirror mirror on the wall."

The only time it seems to break flow is the line "Like brewing storms of the night." I feel like there should be an adjective describing night, or a two-syllable adjective rep[lacing the "the" before night. You probably know what you're doing though, and I only noticed it the third time I read through it anyway (which I did because I enjoyed it so much :]).

"With rotten petals of your fear
And dancing stars will disappear."
