A Poem by hardeep sabharwal
"

On sikh genocide in Delhi in 1984

"
Terror of genocide,
Intranstive eyes peep out of
Dead brains and living corpses,
Trauma of your parting,
Tears endeavor to polish dim eyes
Fake attempt to disremember
Evidence of your existence,
they were crushing, and we concealing
wounds do make a call, sometime
Mourn of your death,
pains of a freezed voice
repressed under the roar of cruelty
Bond with life
more powerful than any other relation
our struggle for justice and life continue ...

JUSTICE IS DENIED IN THE WORLD S LARGEST DEMOCRACY,
though my family survived but as a kid I can not forget the memory of those days, I do write a novel on this

"When a tree falls, it shakes the earth" the words of our then prime minister. Politically biased, they led to ruthless killing of Sikhs. Not in Delhi but all over the nation. Many Sikhs went cut their hair! They were those people who are always ready to sacrifice their lives. But just for the sake of political affirmation, a destructive act of genocide took place! Your verse is a good attempt to bring to light the sufferings we had to face.

Powerful words and thoughts. Does feel like 1984 today. In your land. Freedom is took away just like in the USA. The world had changed. Not for better. If people become dumb-downed by the government? Who will fight for freedom and opportunity? Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. Education and proper leadership is needed. I hope we leave a better world for our children?

Yes true that.
It is a blot on the pristine canvas of our great country that no effort can wipe away. I truly weep for those who had to die. It makes me very sad. With you in your grief.

That is terrible. But I fear such injustice goes on all over the world. Politicians and law enforcement officers are corrupt, and citizens are oppressed.

You are very right marie, its all power and dirty political games
it was OK but not what I was expecting seems to be missing a little something to get the point across.

Yes sure sir
I feel as an outsider looking in for the first time like a dolt by not knowing of this. You definitely have me getting ready to educate myself with some history lessons I did not learn in school. As for the poem. you give me chills to the bone with your way of words to describe a fight for existence.

I love your message and how we should stand for justice and common understanding. Also if a crime is committed you can't punish a whole community but go after the persons or the group that did it. Bravo, sir...:)............

congratulations for ur effort on your upcoming novel , a glimpse of the havoc is in your piece . may the souls be at rest . this so called democracy is focused on power holders , that justice cant be achieved with half a*s truths , facts revealed by the gov. its just beating the dead horse over and over . one love .
