Conversation

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal
"

Hindi version published in Delhi magazine in may 2005 issue Translations of poetry are always not so convincing and bad part of this, I am a worst translator

"
What we speak in chats, commonly,
May it be socio-political
Or on some family matters and disputes
If all those words are divided
Into sections and evaluated
Nine out of ten seem worthless
Absurdily, wasting age on time parameters,,
What we speak in chats,, the same common part
Which seem worthless
Actually nourishing life
Watering with the nectar of innocence
Craving something, somewhere
Slowly transforming its worthlessness
Into nonpareil, in context of life.

That's very great to count all the absurd talk between the two takes place instead of conversing on sensible issues. This really a fine poem of great value.i.e. the time. We have so many issues for discussions and deducing infrences on them for the welfare of someone viz.our society...
Thanks for sharing such nice with finest message...Hardeep

This is an interesting concept. It made me notice the screen, where your words appear as poem. It has barely 10% of space with meaningful words. Rest are either empty space to enhance the beauty of your words. Everything has a purpose, even the meaningless words too, they are there to make the meaningful stand out.
A very wise write. Lately your writing is projecting deeper meaning of life and I am quite happy about that.

Very good. The simple conversations will ultimately be the most nourishing to our souls. Through them we take part in humanity, instead of just observing it.

The extra words, which might seem empty, are a means of bonding and perhaps convey more than their echo's suggest. I really enjoyed this,a great poem!

I agree our words carry very little meaning represented in our actions as well. Juts 10 minutes of the news will give you a good indication of where is it that we are heading. But in the meantime we "chat" to pass the time I guess and surely enough transforming worthlessness into vacuity.

Great observation here.

Thankyou
