RECREATION

RECREATION

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

Does it make any difference,
I clamoured for you, fourteen long years,
fourteen long years! it is easy to say,
I melt in a row, my mother told,
As a child, I did not trouble her,
My laughs, my cries, like others,
Did not create any kind of Big Bangs
That can create and recreate universe,
And than I elongated my limbs,
grew dark and scaly, I covered,
All my shabyness under a polite smile,
And when I become anxious for you,
I was told, it is love, I took granted,
And lest it should be told,
I took some wines of sanity, and he,
A friend of me, who has changed love,
Many a times, still arguing of himself,
A better involved lover, but I longed
This measurement in reality,
This time I wish to become MOHAN,
And you as MEERA, to recreate the time,
Changing the position, here and everywhere,
Of those, who avarised and sold
Flesh to unfit themselves for love,
But if they had done even that,
Still resemble Meera, carrying in
One hand a dish of poison for themselves
And in other devotion.

What an interesting and intriguing piece of poetry. It took me back to my youth; to the yearning and learning of love. Love is something much different to me today...it's more of a comfort in the giving and the receiving instead of all the drama and sex of romance. It's not love that has changed but my understanding of it...I've learned that love never hurts...it's our expectations, vanities and misplaced trust that deceive us into thinking so. I enjoyed the read.

You're welcome.
And endearing feeling this one. And although it is basically a confession to love it gets a little more complicated as it becomes a confession to wisdom. That right there for me a beautiful expectation. That which is right here in material representation may or may not have a representation in the world of immaterial or spirits or however you wish to represent it. I also noticed that your issues within language become less of a distraction as you go which means that you are trying to create a bridge of meaning in between your poetry and the language you choose to express it in.

Great!

Thankyou
