In the Dim Light

In the Dim Light

A Poem by hardluckbaby

In the dim light
Where you barely see anything
The movement of the curtains
Is your only hope.

In the dim light
Where everything's a blur
The softness of your pillow
Is your only comfort.

In the dim light
Where no words are spoken
The ticking of the clock
Is the greatest music.

In the dim light
Where I close my eyes
My heart that beats for you
Is the only thing I feel.

In the dim light
Where you can't trust your senses
The only thing I need
Is something you refuse to hear.

In the dim light
You are the only face I know
You are the only chance I'll take
You are the love I cannot make.

If it gets better in the morning,
If it ever starts to shine,

In the dim light,
You won't ever know.

I love this poem. When my hubby travels for long periods, there is only the nite lite on. :) That's a dim light. :)
