Been through a lot.

My heart has become fragile.

If you plan to have a spot,

Please handle with care.

 

I want nothing more than to let you in.

But I’ve lost my trust in others.

Suffered pain deeper than skin.

Leaving me a little battered.

 

Please don’t give up on me.

It’s true, you may have to work harder.

But there’s so many possibilities of what we could be.

I promise I’ll learn to trust better.

 

I want you to know everything about me.

I’m just afraid you’ll leave.

I wish I could just open up and let you see,

How much you really, truly mean to me.

 

Wounds take time to heal.

If you could just spare me some,

I love this.
When we hear of other people's trust issues but they like someone, for me this is the perfect insight to a girl. Yes she has her guards up but she does want to let him and she is honest about the timing of it all. Great job! Excellent work!
