CHAPTER IV. A SMALL WORLD

        I just let my tears fall down. I still have many questions but I know nobody could answer any of them.

      “Here,” a male voice I heard from my back as I see a handkerchief  he is offering me.

       “T-Thanks,” I said while taking the handkerchief  and then used it to wipe my tears.

       He sat at my side and I am surprised. It’s Doctor Rico!

       “Hello, Clarisse,” he greeted me. “How are you?”

       “I am not okay,” I said while still wiping my tears. I feel ashamed but what else should I say?  Should I say I am okay?  

       He never answered. He just remain sitting at my side while my tears started to fall down again. I cried and cried. I don’t care if he is there.

       I don’t know how long have I cried in his presence. Ten minutes? Twenty minutes? I don’t know. What I know is he understands how I feel because he never stood up and left me behind.

       “I’m sorry,” I said after I stopped crying. He never answered again. What is that emotion I can see in his eyes? Is he angry?

       He tapped my shoulder, like telling me that it’s okay now. That he’s here beside me.

       “Am I a fool?” I asked him after a while.

       “Yes, you are,” he said then laughed loudly.

         I also laughed but the tears again fall down. I saw his eyes with tears also while he is laughing. Perhaps he felt pity on me. And like fools at that time, we both laugh so loud while crying.

What I know is he understands how I feel because he never stand and leave me. ~ LOL sorry i was browsing the chapters and i found this ackward sentence here... maybe you can say: he never stood up and leave me behind. ~ not sure... but i think you know what i mean... My pretty friend, i know i am not so great at grammar but in this chapter i could see some tenses issue... i hope i am not too forward with my words
