I Love You

I Love You

A Poem by And She Sings
"

She said it first

"
"I               love
you."

i'm not seeing it.

you've got your stuff
eight hours ahead
but sixteen hours behind
and you still don't have time for it

i'm on the sideline.

that "faithful girl" back home?

love isn't in this.
there's mommy issues
and closed doors
and closed eyes
and i like my innocence where i left it

there's a line.
you tugged just a little to hard
on my heartstrings
and they just don't

stretch

that
far.
