The Great Storm

The Great Storm

A Poem by BlueShadow

Lightning

The sky today is bright blue and white

Traces of cloud are like cream in the sky

I’m amazed by the world’s fragility

One storm and there goes tranquility

I love the rain, grey clouds, and thunder

They remind me of chaos and blunders

The world is having a fit today

Like a giant baby on an ice-cold day

The world is filled with chaos and grief

The world is waked from its silent old sleep

The birds come out after the storm’s end

And to scars and bruises they attend

The lightning and storm were fierce today

But at the end it’s just another fine day

I love the world’s awakened state

But it now sleeps to its old fate
