Gordon Paisley Goes To Church

Gordon Paisley Goes To Church

A Poem by icelandicblue

Wipe your little snotty nose,
And clean the toe jam ‘tween your toes.
Pull your pants up, tuck in your shirt,
Look, those nails are filled with dirt.

You are such a grimy gus,
Cannot believe you belong to us!
Leave the hamster in his cage,
Would you please just act your age.

Put your socks and shoes back on,
Sometimes I think you're devil’s spawn.
Gordon Paisley please sit still,
You’ll mess your father’s coup de ville.

Now slick your hair and quiet down,
And promise you won’t fool around.
You are in God’s house now young man,
Try to follow his commands.

Heavenly father I hope you hear,
Can you make Gordon clean his ears?
And bathe at least two times a week,
The poor dears future looks quite bleak.

I’m only asking for him you know,
I’m finished with my tale of woe.
Though he’s such a smelly boy,
Gordon’s both our pride and joy.

Amen.
