It may be light in its delivery, but the visceral emotions are unavoidable...it begins with a measure of optimism, but with every successive verse, bitterness becomes a little more prominent. You begin by paying it forward in charitable ways, but by the end, you've made it quite clear that instant karma's gonna get this person if you have any say in it. I think that downturn in emotion is what really spoke to me...it almost reads like a microcosm for the progression of my own moods through the course of a day, every day...I wake up with the hope that maybe this is the day I go to bed content with the way my life is going, but no...it usually spills over into not wanting to even get out of bed the next morning. Yes it may be a light composition, but lightness rarely extends beyond an amused kind of cynicism...oh well I guess there's always tomorrow. As you can tell, I really loved this piece my friend. It is well on its way to my library.

I love your reviews and your poetic eye. I am always interested in the connections that you make to things. Life is a roller coaster and it takes its toll when you get to that top hill and think...I can't turn around and get off this thing.
