Inside Her Mind

Inside Her Mind

A Poem by idiotproof--1

We are always alone

when we are together.

Who let our dreams die?

which one of us lost all hope?

When did we start crying ourselves to sleep?

I would rather be truly alone

than alone with all of them.

I wish I could break.

I wish I could split apart

and just be myself.

Behind walls shes hiding

away from us.

The one who rules us

will never come out.

We watch eachother with empty eyes

waiting for one of us to not be hollow

waiting for someone to replace her

maybe then we could feel alive again

or at least we could disappear.

And be gone

forever

Honest words lead us to lonely places.
"We are always alone
when we are together.
Who let our dreams die?
which one of us lost all hope?
When did we start crying ourselves to sleep?"
People separate and cannot find the same path. This is sad. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Spooky. This poem is very cool. It's a bit vague and ambiguous in terms of meaning, but that's the beauty of it - as with other poems of high quality, it is largely open to interpretation. Some lines that I found particularly powerful: "I would rather be truly alone / than alone with all of them."... "I wish I could break"... "We watch each other with empty eyes". Also, I very much appreciated the play on words with "split apart", connected to both "break" and to taking action to escape and "just be myself". Overall, very nicely written. Great work!
