When We Were TogetherA Poem by idiotproof--1over the horizon sunsets shine you lie I'm sober enough to know the truth you hide I kindled your fire so you would shine like a beacon chasing hopes we used to have and dreams we never knew walking past the doors we never wet through because we were cowards too scared to face ourselves we knew only bliss and happiness then you taught me hate showed me anger made me feel despair all the nights that you weren't there I cried myself to sleep enough times to drown you in the tears but I no longer feel my fears I learned to face them when you let me go fighting shadows all alone but I've come back and I'm not like you I'll hold your hand while you experience all I went through © 2016 idiotproof--1Reviews
