If Only Her Heart Was Visible

The heart needs to see what the eyes already do!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Time wasted on fake love and romance

Heart blind-sided from what the eyes already see

Energy spent trying to fill in the signification

Smiles drip from a sad face like raindrops

 

Whispering words of love parade deep in her subconscious,

longing to be reborn into feelings of emotions

Substruction of her heart is losing foundation

Pain presses deep inside

 

Her once perfect world tilts upside down

Truth spills into prisms of light

Perfumed collar breathes another woman

Lipstick kiss on cheek smears affair

 

Cold silken sheets accomodate only her

Frozen memories of lover's nights stir life long ago

Flattery seep from lying lips

His deceit leaves her vulnerable and naked

 

If only her heart was visible it could see the truth like

her eyes already do

Hard to say what is wasted or not. I wouldn't trade the pain or pleasure away. I like the thoughts to ponder by the poem. Life can lead us down many roads. I believe if we end up in a good place.
