Anemic Doll

Anemic Doll

A Poem by InkBlack

Pasty cold skin

With blue undertones

Tired eyes that never stay open

Through the crevasses of her lids

Lie yellowed eyes

Her body lies limp

Numb and paralyzed

She cannot move

She does not want to move

She craves the taste of meat

Juicy succulent meat

Those green leaves are not enough

To sustain her dying body

Wonderful writing. The imagery in this is vivid and dark. I loved the detailed description and the use of color, you can really see this in your mind. Also... it sounds almost decadent... in a way. Great title to go along with this piece as well... quite emphasizing.
