Before and After

Before and After

A Poem by MCS

When I think of you

I recall that you made

me weak at the knees

Also thinking back

I recall that you

took my breath away

To be completely honest

the knees and breath

are still an issue

But its grief

that bends me

at the knees

It’s this unending sorrow

that robs me

of breath

All this time has past

since death

tore you away from me

And late March

comes around

and it’s all still so fresh

Jewel, thank you I too am sorry for your loss. Interesting how we look the same but are never the same following a great loss.

I can relate to your words having lost someone suddenly. He passed away five years ago - and every May it is as fresh as if it just happened. I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in loving memories.

:) Julie
