Constricted View

Constricted View

A Poem by MCS

Voices rise and fall
around the café
his seems smothered
but his eyes watch
making no contact
his eyes glanced my way
and keep moving
I watch and draw
wondering
what story could he tell
as the drawing takes form
I realize my voice is also smothered
I watch but make no contact
what story would I tell
