Hiatus

Hiatus

A Poem by MCS
"

Show up, show up, show up, and after a while the muse shows up, too....

"

Blank screen, canvas, notebook

Keys untouched, blinding white canvas, crisp white pages

Blinking cursor, colour untouched, unbroken bindings

Haunted by nothingness

I have always believed that we humans need to embrace the empty side of the picture to be able to enjoy the full side too. Your poem may sound stark, but you show such starkness in all its beauty & that's what I love about it. Relaxing into unavoidable mind paralysis is part of opening up the channels & observing what comes next (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

and haunted and haunted and haunted until suddenly....
the ghost of the muse starts to take shape again...and if we aren't in too much fear...we write...
it's her way, nothingness and then fullness...inconsistency for us as poets...but we live with the haunting, don't we?
