Winter Snapshot # 2

Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. ~ Victor Hugo

Deep winter solitude

Space of monochromatic hues

The moans of a northern wind

This is a beautiful image of the snowy woods. It draws my fearless, wandering, adventuring spirit to explore. It's one of my favorite places, so even in the midst of winter (my least favorite season) I still feel at home.

white out...like what I often should use with my poetry....
seasons change and eventually the white turns to color.
the cold to warm....we achieve and the south wind welcomes us---the solitude ends...
and we will be able to be around others again.
it will come...the hibernation will end...
there is promise and hope now.
