Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by MCS
"

Realize that everything connects to everything else. ~ Leonardo Da Vinci

"

Turbulent times cast a long shadow

Aimlessly we roam from day to day

Paths unclear how to get from here to there

We all embrace sleepless nights

Afraid to sleep as nightmares loom

We are all afraid of the darkness

Appalling how we got here

Now how do we get out

The answer should be obvious

Atonement for our sins

Of greed, indifference, and deep seeded hate

Has woven this tapestry of anguish

Your poem attests to the fact that I, living in the wilderness & completely oblivious to the chaos of the highly-populated planet, still hurt for what's going on "out there" . . . *sigh!* (((HUGS)))

That's a considerable atonement list. Could I work on the deep seeded hate first and then start on the others?

I agree. We all need to start changing our ways.

Pauline.
