Impudence

Impudence

A Poem by MCS
"

In the realm of bad leadership, ego reigns and empathy and decency retreat.

"

 Clocks without hands

Days and years blend and are lost

Moving forward has stalled

The past is hidden

Attempts at rewriting truth

Results in more chaos

Yesterday’s enemies are today’s friends

Brokering deals with those who see you as infidels

Who have waged war on your troops

Yet setting a course to dismantle the economy

Of trusted allies all carried out with malice

And a side order of disrespect adds further insult to injury

Morality is not supposed to be fluid; regardless of whatever your morality happens to be. What disturbs me most is the transitory nature of thought these days; reason is being taken advantage of by the hardcore sales pitch. This means anything is possible without actual reason. Many philosophers across almost every school of thought are against pure democracy for this reason (even the representative republic style is failing us here in murica, the lowest common denominators have seized power). The mob is too easy to manipulate en masse. I'm not sure how I feel about this... any of it. I'm kinda just along for the ride as a random imprudent pile of trash.

There are so many people who try to rewrite history and not all of them come from one political party. We are living in turbulent times, no doubt about it. Well written. Lydi**

His face is a clock that has ticked off so many allies. Time is running out on us being a nation respected. We are becoming a nation to fear...the time is iminent...tick tick tick.

The world moves, but only in circles. The hands of the clock are missing, and yet, time does not stop— only lingers in its own deception. 🙏🏻🕊️
