Reaper of Souls

Reaper of Souls

A Poem by Ashlee

Silence,

In the dark and empty night.

Grasping the elongated razor,

In the hands of fate.

No cries will sound.

No knowledge of this crime.

The worth, a breath.

Heated words, not spoken.

Cold and unnatural,

Life,

Unknown to you.

Secrets,

None he does not know.

Take the heart,

A prize,

A trophy.

Hatred radiates.

Love, unkind.

Nothing.

Worthless.

Imaginary?

I do not think so.

Come in.

Invited or no.

No pain,

No suffering.

Nothing.

No existence,

Yet, there.

Friend and foe,

Altogether.

Taking, never giving.

Alone,

Never.

Wow! This poem is really very touching indeed. I loved your words "Love, unkind." Though the grim reaper is feared by all, I think it would be pretty fun to work as a grim reaper. One of the wierdest ideas up in my head. He he!

Anyway, Keep writing stuff like this. The title encouraged me to read the poem itself and it seems that I did not regret. ~KA~
