A poem I wrote for my mother today.

A poem I wrote for my mother today.

A Poem by Amber Sun
"

She cried when she read it and said I should share it with all mothers.

"

My mother is like a warm summer breeze,

carrying from the blue tropical seas,

the ocean's scent which does no more to please,

than perfect moments each hug of hers leaves.

My mother is here on brisk autumn days,

when trees have no leaves and the cold sky grays,

she is there like a warm fire when she says,

that she loves me, then I'm happy always.

Sometimes my mother is like winter's snow,

falling on me when I'm bad, she is so,

cold when she yells at me but this I know:

she just wants me to be good as I grow.

My mother is like the first rose in spring,

blooming more beautiful than anything,

each day I see her she makes my heart sing,

I love my mother more than anything.

Lovely, it took to me the spot where my heart is. I losted my mother and miss her. Thanks for the feeling it brought and the memories of when she was here.

That is so heartfelt and beautiful. What an absolutely heartfelt poem. I love the way you incorporated the seasons into the poem,.

The stanza:

Sometimes my mother is like winter's snow,
falling on me when I'm bad, she is so,
cold when she yells at me but this I know:
she just wants me to be good as I grow.

was actually my favorite because that is when it is hard to be a mother. When we have to be stern for your own good, for your own growth. The loving part is easy..........

Really nice, I am sure she probably cried when she read it, I almost did.
