ALIENS

ALIENS

A Chapter by R. L. Hill

ALIENS

Boiling blobs of green goo with fifty-six eyes

Plants that give birth to three-legged flies
Blind octopi with snoopy sniffers on their curious tentacles
Oblong, purple-spotted leopards wearing wire-rim spectacles
Giant worms with six tails and two sets of wings
Digital spiders downloading webs into your brains
Orbiting monkeys who spew sticky streams of acidic spit
Fanciful, eight-footed lobsters laying eggs in a pit
Angelic travelers who carry probes in their back-packs
Devious conquerors planning global destruction behind our backs

Some look like stars
Others like fish
Even some smell like sardines in mustard dish

Some are very hairy
Others: oversized ants
Even some give directions to lost astronauts

Slippery pus-pods with plans to dominate the universe
Gaseous hair-balls with a passion for long poetic verses
Complicated beings too odd-shaped to describe
Genius lizards crawling out of bluish-hued slime
Billions of man-eating weeds on a huge pink planet
A lonely, yellow flower who stinks like a skunk named Janet
Utopian societies that worship three gods with eight heads
Invisible black creatures hiding under human children's beds
Maniac brains building advanced underground lairs
Buoyant fish-people who resemble bug-eyed bears

I would like to say, "I took it all in stride." Yea. Right. But it did compel me to share something with you that you may not be aware of and although the question has been asked many times before, by almost everyone, even those that it has affected directly it is this... Do yo know WHY, "Angelic travelers (who) carry probes in their back-packs?" Because in a bad automobile accident, when they must use the jaws of life bystanders see that it's not the container that's important but rather what's INSIDE that counts. So in like fashion when Angelic Travelers use those back-pack probes on unsuspecting humans it's like that. It's the tiny little organisms in your INSIDES that are important. They're just trying to preserve and maintain the oldest, most intelligent living creatures on this planet... bacteria. Humans are just engineered vehicles that convey colonies about in a self-repairing environment. The human body is just a ship for their thriving micropolii. That's why there is no thought given to pain when the probes come out. Do you even consider the pain of the automobile as the jaws-of-life rip through it's construction in order to free the ugly-bags-of-mostly-water that are trapped, inside, bleeding, crying out in pain and agony, "God, help us!" Blood flowing - that's the RED ALERT of the mitochlorian force-wielders - the equivalent of Armageddon at the molecular and subatomic level. Have a heart Rachel. It's just a big pump anyway you look at it.
