Deep Desire

Deep Desire

A Poem by J.Keyes

The one I hold dear is running away

My desire runs deep for the one I love most

My heart is in pain and I have nothing to say

She is already gone and silent like a ghost

Her presence is near and I can’t help but wonder

What she has done to me

She has taken me under

And I was too blind to see

Her eyes were like fire

When she spoke to me last

Her essence is something to admire

Like something beautiful from the past

I look upon her with love

A stare of passion

She has to risen to above

In a delightful fashion

We take one last glance

And I see in the center of her eye

That if given one more chance

We wouldn’t have to say good-bye
