Greener Pastures

Greener Pastures

A Poem by Jack...
"

A spring day upon the hill

"

Greener Pastures

By Jack Ivey

What if life

Was filled with greener pastures

And their fragrance

Came rolling down like summer breeze

Would you smile

And lie right here beside me

Hold me close

Make true my wildest dreams

In these fields

Of vibrant greener pastures

Close your eyes

And hear the trees upon the hill

Sunny skies

And everything that matters

Here I lie with you

And I always will

I have also been left wondering what if life was filled with greener pastures? Great poem that gets your readers wondering how life would be different if we had all we wanted. Good one Jack

Thanks so much Cassie
Great thoughts, I agree that by now we should be able to make life easier, instead of competing and making life difficult for each other

Welcome Jack :)
One who understands the truth of nature, shouldn't mind his faltering faith on Gods..... cuz all the God i ever saw is the Mother Nature which nourishes the evil me.

People like you exists, to charm the world with your simplicity. In this world so full of adrenalin drive and testosterone push... you always bloom like a bluebell in the countryside. Jack, I wish you'd publish you poems for a wider audience.... it deserves a wider/global audience

This is the type of scenario that made me move away from the city, and to the country thirty years ago. I'm still here. Good one, Jack.
